There are many ways and means to do the File/data transfer across the each other. But all you need is the security and the convenience of the data transfer. The convenient way to do the File/Data transfer is to configure the in-premises FTP server and share the credentials with vendor or Client to upload or download the data. There are many drawbacks in this old methodology, but it is the simplest solution available. Many companies are using the Google Drive, Dropbox, and other online services to move the data, but the paying huge money for such services too. The options to avail the service from Dropbox enterprise or Google Drive enterprise is fixed space with the fixed price. The more you need, the more you need to pay for fixed size. Hello there... it is a Virtual Assistance world

When Amazon's Fire TV stick advert shows that a model talking to remote to switch the channel, it amazes many Indians. Talking to the devices is not new technology. People have started using this when it was introduced by Apple in 2011. iPhone 4S becomes the first device launched with Siri, an 'Intelligent Personal Assistance'. Some geeks were fallen in love with their device emotionally while talking to Siri. But it was the start of the 'Virtual Assistance' managed devices, where electronic devices responding to the humans' command. Since then, the big technology giants Google, Microsoft and IBM, come up with their own Personal Assistance in their prospective devices.



'Cortana', the Microsoft's Personal Assistance or Virtual Assistance is available on all Windows devices including Laptop, Xbox, and Mobile. Google has 'Allo' (smart messaging App) compatible with most of the devices. The number game is with Google, as there are 1.5 + billion android phone users in the world and those are the future users for Google's Virtual Assistant, Ok Google.  Saying Ok Google, the phone will start accepting the commands. IBM's Watson is most advance and Intelligent in all available Virtual Agent (not Assistance here) race but has very limited accessibility.



The e-commerce and cloud provider, Amazon is leading in Virtual Assistance race (as like Cloud Market). In 2014 Amazon launched the Amazon Echo, the speaker that can take your command and respond or do the action. The Amazon Echo runs by the Amazon's Virtual Assistance Alexa. Amazon Echo is the most popular device sold in 2016 from Amazon portal. It shows the Virtual Assistance is now getting into the living room and very close to humans to do miniature tasks.

Amazon Echo can connect and works with almost 40+ smart home devices to do most of the jobs, than just playing the music or telling the time or weather. Connect Amazon Echo to Uber to ask Alexa to book a ride or ask for a fresh Pizza from Dominos at the doorstep.

Amazon Echo can connect with Philips Hue LED, Lifx, TP-Link LED, Osram's lightify, Stack LED, Kuna Porchlight,, can change the light/color or switch on/off. Emberlight is simple bulb holder to turn any ordinary LED bulb into the smart bulb to accept commands from Amazon Echo.

The 'Big Ass Fan' can connect with Amazon Echo to control the speed and stop/start the fans. If you want to manage some other electrical device, then use the Belkin's WeMo Switch or iHome Smart Plug or iDevice Switch to plug it in and plug your device to manage On/Off through the Amazon Echo. There are the range of Thermostat and Air conditioner from iDevice, Nest, Honeywell, Ecobee3, Emerson, Frigidaire, Tado (to convert dump AC to smart) can support the Amazon Echo.

The list of the devices supports the Amazon Echo and Alexa is getting longer day by day.



Amazon Alexa is built in the Amazon's Fire TV Stick. By holding the 'Voice' Voice Button  button on the Alexa Voice Remote, anyone can give the command to change the channel or search for the Movies/Actor/genre or Tile of the movie to play on screen through the Amazon Fire TV stick.

Compare to Amazon Alexa, rest competitors are lagging in the Virtual Assistance and Internet of the Things (IoT) list. LG, GE, Ford and many more companies have announced to go with Amazon Alexa for their future Gadgets, Home Appliances, and Cars.



Amazon Alexa vs Google Assistant

Google is expert in search and Google Home much faster compare Amazon Echo, but Amazon Echo has better connectivity with other IoT devices. There are almost 1.5 billion users on Google's Android phone, this is the Google's biggest advantage to push the user for Google Assistance. Alexa is still coming into the Phone and TV's whereas Google Allo can use the existing customer of the Android, and Google Chromcast to take over the Amazon Alexa. Google Home is superior in performance and very close to the human interaction. Saying Ok Google to initiate any command you wish to get done.



Amazon Alexa vs Microsoft Cortana

Microsoft's Cortana is already on all Windows-based devices like Laptops, touchpad, Xbox, and phones. The result with Cortana is pretty decent. Cortana backed by the Bing search results, which is slow compared the Google's Search engine, but way better than Alexa. Cortana is yet to connect with household devices like TV, AC, and other gadgets or Home Appliances. Though Nissan cars and Harmon Kardon are backing the Microsoft Cortana for Virtual Assistance technology. Still, Microsoft is lagging the Virtual Assistance race with Alexa.



Amazon Alexa vs Apple Siri

Apple Siri is the pioneer in the Virtual Assistance but it is limited to Apple iPhone and Apple TV only. Compare to Alexa they are way behind from IoT.

The conclusion is If you are buying new TV or Fridge or any other gadget that probably backed by Amazon Alexa. Get the list of devices works with Amazon Echo or Alexa.
